Who is responsible
LANDSCOPE SCOTLAND LTD, at 8 Glen Lochay Gardens, Cumbernauld, Lanarkshire, Scotland, G68 0DY, is the data controller for this store, customer support, membership and Garden Space Planner contact services. You can reach our privacy contact at support@landscopescoot.shop.
What we collect
We collect identity and contact data such as name, email, telephone number, country and shipping address; transaction data such as products, price, currency, payment status, refunds and order references; membership and account data; support messages, return evidence and preferences; technical data such as IP address, device, browser, security events and cookie choices; and garden-help details or photographs you choose to send.
We do not request identity documents or store complete card numbers, card security codes or online banking credentials.
Collection sources
Information is provided by you through checkout, account, membership, contact and garden-help forms or in your messages. We automatically collect limited technical and cookie data needed for security and service operation. Payment, delivery and support processors provide us with confirmations about payments, delivery events, refunds or disputes.
Why we use it and legal bases
- Contract: prepare checkout, take payment, dispatch physical garden tools, provide tracking, administer membership, process returns and answer order questions.
- Legitimate interests: prevent fraud, secure the service, keep accurate transaction records, improve product fit and handle disputes, balanced against your rights.
- Consent: optional marketing, non-essential analytics and garden-help follow-up where consent is requested. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: accounting, tax, consumer protection, sanctions, payment and regulatory records.
Payments and billing data
Stripe processes our card checkout. Payment processors, including Stripe or PayPal when their payment method is selected, receive billing and payment credentials directly on their systems. Landscope receives limited confirmation such as payment status, amount, currency, payer contact, risk signals and transaction references; we do not receive or store the complete card number or security code.
Order fulfilment, shipping and returns
We use the recipient name, shipping address, telephone number, email, parcel contents and delivery instructions for order fulfilment. We provide the minimum necessary information to fulfilment partners and parcel carriers. Return requests may include order details, product condition, photographs of damage and correspondence needed to decide a refund or replacement.
Who we share it with
We use processors for hosting and deployment, Supabase database and storage, Stripe and other selected payment methods, transactional email, anti-spam checks, parcel fulfilment and delivery, customer support, security, and analytics used with the required consent. Professional advisers, regulators, courts or law enforcement may receive data when lawfully required. Providers act under contractual and confidentiality obligations.
International transfers
Some processors or delivery partners operate outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area. Where required, we use an adequacy decision, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful safeguard, together with proportionate technical and organisational protections.
How long we keep it
Checkout leads and ordinary support records are kept for no longer than 24 months unless they become part of an order, complaint or legal record. Order, payment, refund and tax records are generally retained for up to seven years. Garden photographs and other user content cached for tool-fit or review processing are removed within 30 days unless you ask us to publish them or a dispute requires limited retention. Security logs are normally kept for up to 12 months. Cookie periods are listed in the Cookie Policy.
Security
We use encrypted transport, access controls, least-privilege service credentials, payment-provider hosted checkout, signed webhook verification, logging and backups. No internet system can guarantee absolute security. Please contact us promptly if you believe an order or account is at risk.
Your UK and EU GDPR rights
Subject to legal limits, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection; withdraw consent; and object to direct marketing. We may verify your identity proportionately before responding. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or, if applicable, your EU supervisory authority.
California rights and Do Not Sell or Share
California residents may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, correction, deletion and information about disclosures, and may exercise rights without discriminatory treatment. Landscope does not sell personal information for money and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Requests and authorised-agent requests may be sent to our privacy contact. We may verify the request and the agent’s authority.
Cookies and analytics
Strictly necessary cookies keep the basket, security and administration functioning. Preference or analytics cookies are used only as described in the Cookie Policy and, where required, after consent. You can change browser settings and withdraw optional consent.
Automated decisions and children
The Garden Space Planner applies transparent selection rules and does not make a legal or similarly significant decision. Fraud providers may flag transactions for review, but material outcomes can be reviewed by a person. Children under 13 may not register. Anyone aged 13–17 must have a parent or guardian’s consent to submit data or place an order.
